RN85PA: 10dB Linear Power Amplifier
The RN85PA Linear Power Amplifier was designed to increase the transmit and receive performance of a PMR handheld radio. RN Electronics have utilized a modern design incorporating high quality LDMOS components to produce a reliable and durable product.
The unit is able to switch over from receive to transmit automatically by sensing the applied drive. In transmit mode the power amplifier linearly increases the input signal by 10 dB, up to a maximum output level of 25 Watts. In receive mode, the Pre-amplifier is in circuit and provides a low noise gain of 10 dB. By using this unit, the range provided by a typical 2 Watt hand held radio can be greatly increased.
