Comb GeneratorConducting your own pre compliance tests can be daunting. Errors due to interference distorting the measurements taken make repeatable, accurate readings difficult to obtain.

The Comb Generator emits a defined R.F. field. This enables a direct comparison to be made between sites. Its use considerably reduces the potential errors due to site and equipment variations.

The Comb Generator is fully portable. It is a self-contained unit supplied complete with antennas, rechargeable batteries and charger. The small size and the simplicity of operation make it ideal for regular spot checks around individual equipment under test.

Each unit is supplied with a calibrated set of test results. By using the calibrated test site figures, as a direct comparison, accurate and reliable measurements can be achieved.

Calibration

Full conducted and radiated emissions data is supplied with each unit.

Calibration Options
• Standard +/-2dB Conducted, +/-4dB Radiated • NAMAS +/-2dB Conducted, +/-4dB Radiated
• NPL calibration is also available on request

Calibration is performed at 3 meter distance. Unit is placed at height of 0.8m and antenna is swept from 1 - 4 m. Both horizontal and vertical calibration data will be supplied.
