FCC (USA) and ISED (Canada) Certification
RN Electronics provides FCC and ISED Testing and Certification services for manufacturers of radio products and wireless equipment through accredited testing for the Federation of Communications Commission (FCC) for the US market and ISED in Canada.
If you’re planning to sell your wireless/RF products in the United States you must ensure that your equipment will not electromagnetically interfere with other products or cause harm to the public. Compliance standards are enforced by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), per Title 47 of Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).
As accredited by the FCC for the US market and a recognised Conformity Assessment Body (CAB), RN Electronics is designated to perform compliance testing on various types of radio and wireless equipment subject to Certification and/or Declaration of Conformity (DOC) under many of the different rule Parts of the Commission's Rules.
Our expertise in testing and certification solutions help you identify your product’s FCC regulatory requirements, and evaluate it to the applicable FCC rule part(s) to help you successfully achieve approval and market access for you wireless or radio device. We can also provide ISED approvals for Canada, if necessary.

Select your radio frequency legally open to you and your equipment by referencing the FCC's current guidelines on radio spectrum allocation. Other factors to consider: radio range, propagation, size, power consumption and optimization. |
As the product is being developed it is advisable to perform as many 'pre- compliance' tests as you can. RN Electronics can assist you with this. Giving you a degree of confidence that your product is working as you expect it to, and that there won't be any major expense and surprises later on. |
You will need a free FCC Registration Number (FRN) if you would like to obtain certification authorizations for devices that use the radio spectrum. Visit the FCC's CORES page to provide your business and contact information. You'll get a FRN and the ability to request a mandatory grantee code (nominal fees apply). |
Make contact with RN Electronics an experienced FCC accredited laboratory. For all of your FCC testing and certification requirements. |
After completing testing successfully, we can prepare and advise on the requirements of documentation for certification. RN Electronics will upload all documents to and liaise with the TCB who will review and certify on behalf of the FCC (in most instances). |
Once the TCB uploads your information to the FCC database, the FCC will list your product on its approved list. The TCB will send through a Grant of Equipment Authorization, which allows you to legally market and sell your product in the U.S. |
