History
RN Electronics Ltd was established in 1986 by the directors Roger and Sue Ray.
In 1990 the Company moved to the present premises at Arnolds Farm Lane, Mountnessing.
At that time the Company was primarily an RF design consultancy undertaking the design and development of a wide range of wireless products.
The EMC test facility was set up within the site to ensure that products designed were compliant with all EMC and radio type approval requirements.
From 1993 onwards EMC and radio testing of client products became a major role of the company, using the expertise gained in product design to assist clients to achieve compliance.
Our range of testing soon expanded into coaxial cables for the satellite broadcast industry, after-market automotive components as witnessed by the VCA and medical devices.
In 2020 the majority of the products we test contain wireless radio communications.
We are specialists in the following technologies:
Bluetooth (Classic (with EDR) & Low Energy), ZigBee (DSSS), Wi-Fi (2.4 & 5 GHz WLAN), Short Range Devices (SRD) including Z-Wave, RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification), Induction Loop, Land Mobile Service (Analogue & Digital), Near-field Communication (NFC), Millimetre Wave (mmW), Satellite Positioning (GNSS), Cellular Technologies (2G/3G/4G) in base stations and repeaters, Private Mobile Radio (PMR), Marine Radio & Fixed Link Equipment.
Supporting our customers and enabling them to sell worldwide.
