RN Electronics provides UKAS accredited testing for multiple-gigabit/s radio equipment operating in the 60 GHz band.
We specialise in the testing of these devices and are one of the few laboratories able to provide accredited testing to EN 302 567 and EN 303 722.
We can help you achieve compliance on your wireless communication devices to the two main standards for 60 GHz band (57 to 71 GHz) – IEEE 802.11ad and 802.11ay which support emerging networks including Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) and Small Cells as well as point-to-point communication.
RN Electronics can assist with testing and certification to the following regulatory standards, to list the most common ones:
United States – FCC Part 15, Subpart C, Sub-clause 15.255 - Operation within the band 57-71 GHz.
Canada – RSS-210, Issue 10, Annex J - Devices operating in the 60 GHz Band.
Europe – ETSI EN 302 567, Broadband Radio Access Networks (BRAN); 60 GHz Multiple-Gigabit WAS/RLAN Systems, EN 303 722 Wideband Data Transmission Systems (WDTS) for Fixed Network Radio Equipment operating in the 57 GHz to 71 GHz band;
Australia – AS/NZS 4268, Radio Equipment and Systems – Short Range Devices.
Did you know? the wavelength of 60GHz is approximately 5 millimeters, this technology is referred to as millimeter-wave (mm-wave).
Please contact us to discuss your 802.11ad and 802.11ay device testing requirements.
