R&TTE is now fully repealed – you must now declare to RED 2014/53/EU
The Radio Equipment Directive has been in force since June 2016 running a transitional period in parallel with the R&TTE Directive. The transitional period is now over and the R&TTE Directive must no longer be used, as from 13th June 2017. Harmonised standards have (and continue to be) released in the RED OJ of the EU.
All Radio Equipment (or batches of) placed on the market after 12th June 2017 will need to comply with the Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU.
We recommend; without delay; you undertake a Gap Analysis from your existing test reports, to any new RED requirements, to determine what additional testing is required.
Gap Analysis can be performed on test reports regardless as to who undertook the original testing. The analysis will provide a summary of all of the required tests to the latest regulations and details of any further testing required.
